Ski Show

I participated on the Lake Panorama Water Ski Team this year, and I had a blast.  The team showcases skills in typical show ski disciplines: Pyramid building, barefoot, trick, and swivel skiing all wrapped up with a theme to make an interesting story.  This year's theme was 'Swing into the Millennium' featuring music from the 40's to the current day.

As a rookie, I was assigned two acts, and I spent a lot of time frustrated as I wasn't able to consistently make either act in practice.  In fact, show day is the first day that both acts worked on the same day.

Act 1:  Originally meant to be a 4-3 pyramid, one of our climbers got hurt in practice the week before show and couldn't ski.  Instead, we turned it into a double 2-1.

Act 2: Dock slide.  In this act five guys stand on the dock, and get pulled directly off into the water.  One guy 'accidentally' gets left on the dock.  A second boat pulls him off the dock, and catches up to us. Once he's close enough, he transfers from the boat he is skiing behind to our boat.  Cool to watch.
